We are summing up the results of the March KinoKot

On March 28, the Regional Public Foundation for the Support and Development of Russian Culture held a competition program summary and awards ceremony for the 7th International Film Festival "March KinoKot" in Moscow.

Over 400 short films from 14 countries were submitted to the program: Russia, Germany, South Korea, Spain, Canada, China, Armenia, Belarus, Iran, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Abkhazia. 30 short films won in 36 categories:

🎬 Category: 12-16 years old
Best Screenplay: Teatralka (directed by Nelly Rtveladze)
Best Editing, Best Direction, Best Color Correction, Best Child's Role (actress Arina Kolakhmetova): Flying's not necessary (directed by Stella Darpinyan)
Best Cinematography, Best Documentary: Baikal. The Big Adventure in Siberia (directed by Artemy Bubnov)
Best Actor (actor Svyatoslav Albanov), Best Actress (actress Alina Efremova): Herring under a Fur Coat (directed by Taisiya Smolyanchenko)
Best Animated Film: Fairytale Delivery (directed by Daniil Izotov, Matvey Subbotin, Leonid Lobanov)
Best Feature Film: Catherine II. Sunset of the Great (directed by Andrey Archakov)

“Most of all, I remember those honest films with bold statements from directors, after watching which you simply cannot remain silent. Short films that make you literally forget about time, argue, search for the right words, and ultimately, discern something important in yourself, in other people, and in this world. Our Film Festival was created to prove time and again that contemporary cinema still has the power to surprise and touch ,” said Program Director Alisa Pribytko.
