On May 24, in the anniversary year of Russian cosmonautics, we will present the film performance "Cosmos" — one of two special projects from the Directorate of the KinoKot International Film Festival x A3 Gallery. Two actors discuss space-themed films, combining the narrative with movement, interactive, and stage scenes. There is no memorized or prepared text in the film performance; the actors improvise, making each performance unique. Here you will have the opportunity to rethink your attitude toward famous cinematic masterpieces and discover new facets of cinematography. This time, we`ll be discussing films like Christopher Nolan`s Interstellar, Stanley Kubrick`s 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Denis Villeneuve`s Arrival — films in which space becomes not only a place of the unknown but also a way to talk about humanity, time, love, memory, and the attempt to understand the incomprehensible. Through lively dialogue, reflection, and stage presence, you`ll embark on a journey not only through famous cinematic universes but also into your own experiences. You`ll enjoy an honest conversation about why the unknown attracts us so much. About how far our gaze can reach into the darkness. And about how sometimes, by peering into infinity, we see ourselves more clearly.
